Antigua sowieso... und die Menschen, die einem mit soviel Freundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit begegnen... die meisten Touristen... da es so einfach ist neue Bekanntschaften zu machen Hints for other students manche Sachen sind einfach tranquilo und man stellt sich einfach mal aufs warten ein... das gehört einfach mal dazu... auch im W(orld) W(ide) W(aiting) Comments Land und Leute sind zum Verlieben und man sollte sich nicht all zu sehr von den Sicherheitshinweisen des Auswärtigen Amtes abschrecken lassen nach Guatemala zu reisen. Was das Risiko angeht sollte man zwar den Sicherheitshinweisen seiner Gastfamilie und der Schule folgen und auch den nötigen Respekt mitbringen, doch ist übertriebene Angst nicht von nöten.

Comments Meine Zeit hier war super, es hat sich gelohnt nach Anigua zu kommen. Die Sprachschule ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Sollte man mit dem zugeteilten Lehrer nicht klarkommen kann man unkompliziert wechseln. Christian T. from Germany evaluated		Overall appraisal ( 9/10) Advantages of the language school Der Garten war einfach das ideale Ambiente um dem Unterricht beizuwohnen, auch als Alleinreisender muss man sich keine Sorgen machen das man alleine bleibt, man findet unheimlch schnell Anschluss. Sehr gut fand ich auch die Möglichkeit töglich den Lehrer zu wechseln falls man unzufrieden war und die Flexibilität der einzelnen Lehrkräfte. Hints for other students Als ich an war ich doch überrascht in einem Studentenhostal zu wohnen da ich die Unterkunft bei einer Familie gebucht und geplant hatte. Im Nachhinein war es genau das Rchtige für mich, aber ich denke man sollte hier einfach klarer differenzieren zwischen den Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten. Es ist natürlich verständlich wenn keine Gastfamilie zur Verfügung steht, aber ich bin quasi ins kalte Wasser geworfen worden weil mir erst vor Ort gesagt wurde wo ich denn nun letztendlich wohne. Ansonsten hat alles reibungslos funktioniert! Would you recommend this language school to a friend? Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall nach Antigua zu gehen und dort den Spanischkurs zu machen, man sollte allerdigns die nötige Zeit mitbringen und vor allem sich selbst noch ein wenig Zeit lassen um das Land zu sehen. Ich habe die Ausflüge alle am Wochenende gemacht, aber bei teilweise 7 Stunden Fahrt wäre es sinnvoller gewesen eine Woche länger zu bleiben. Es gibt so viele Möglichkeiten etwas zu unternehmen, auch Trips für die es scih lohnt 3 bis 4 Tage einzuplanen. Es ist schade das Land zu verlassen mit dem Gedanken die Möglichkeiten,e es bietet nicht voll ausgeschöpft zu haben. Daher würde ich - wenn man die Chance hat - einen flexiblen Rückflug buchen. Comments Ich denke man kann suchen solange man will und wird keine vergleichbare Möglichkeit finden, Einzelunterricht zu nehmen. Mir persönlich hat es unheimlich viel geholfen, ich kam mit Grammatikwissen , jedoch ohne Praxis dort an und nach 3 Wochen war ich in der Lage meine Grammatikkenntnisse in flüssiges Spanisch umzusetzen. Comments Der one-to-one Unterricht in Antigua ist sehr gut, wobei es extreme Qualitätsunterschiede gibt. Ich habe vorher eine Woche in einer anderen Schule Kurs gemacht, aber dann aufgehört, weil die Lehrer glaube ich überhaupt keine Sprachlehrer waren, sondern einfach angeheuerte Guatemalteken ohne Ausbildung. Deswegen habe ich dann iim Netz recherchiert und war im Nachhinein sehr zufrieden. Would you recommend this language school to a friend? Yes

Hints for other students In der Schule selbst gibt es eine ziemlich unfaire Policy. Wenn Schueler krank werden (z.B. 1-2 Tage aussetzen), bekommen die Lehrer keinen Lohn fuer diese Zeit, die Schule berechnet aber dem Sprachschueler trotzdem die Gebuehren!!! Would you recommend this language school to a friend? Sucht euch eine Gastfamilie, die nur einen (max. zwei) Gastschuele aufnimmt. Dann sprecht ihr nämlich die ganze Zeit Spanish und nicht nur während der Schulzeit. Bei mir gab es insgesamt 5-6 Sprachschueler in einer Gastfamilie, die dann sehr haeufig Deutsch/Englisch gesprochen haben, was zum spanisch lernen nicht sehr zuträglich ist :-) Comments Die Sprachreise hat mir sehr gut gefallen und auch mein Spanisch sehr vorangebracht. Die Zeit in Antigua war für mich sehr schön und ich möchte mich nocheinmal herzlich fuer die gute Organisation von Linguland bedanken. Would you recommend this language school to a friend? Yes

I just want to add my voice to that of Rhonda Gallagher. I enjoyed my stay at your school several weeks ago very much and will certainly highly recommend it to others seeking to learn Spanish. My professor, Rudolfo, was an excellent, thorough, and patient instructor. Should I return next year, which at the moment is my plan, I would love to have him as my instructor again. The facilities were also very clean and more than adequate.

I wanted to say my instructor "Eduardo" was so kind, courteous and helpful. He put up with my slow learning and taught me more than I ever dreamed possible in the short time I was at the
school.

I have been recommending you and your school to all my friends and all my co-volunteers

It was great to see how well a language can be presented when you have the one on one learning context. From what I saw and experienced, it appears to me that you are doing great things! You, Jose and Victoria can be proud with good reason.

By changing teachers after one week, I was able to observe and experience wider posibilities, first with Silfide and then with Sanchez Please let boths of them know that I valued the opportunity to get to know them.

I wanted to let you know that my colleagues and I really enjoyed our time at your school in Antigua from April 16-24. I was impressed with the effort you made to ensure that our learning needs were met and included two field trips of particular interest to us (Hospital San Pedro & the day care). The flexibility as to the direction of the tutorial for individual study was great. We were also pleased with the accomodation and housekeeping/meal services. The fiesta celebrating the opening of the new location that occured at the end of our week there was an additional bonus.

Please also thank Hugo for us. He was an excellent driver and a friendly face to greet us when we first arrived.

Thanks so much for accommodating Wayne's group!!!!! I met with all 6 students last night. They are very excited! They seem like a great bunch of kids. I took Spanish lessons at your school 2 months ago. I enjoyed the time very
much and learned a lot, so that I could do an individual travel through
Mexico without any problems in communicate!

Today I was contacted by a person who perhaps wants to apply for a course together with his son at your school, he asked me about my impressions and so on. I really recommended your institute, the way you teach and told about the many opportunities he can do (even during spare time), like the organized excursions...

From November 3nd to 14th I studied Spanish at the Centro Linguistico Internacional, Antigua, Guatemala. I enjoyed studying at your school very much, and my Spanish has improved from none to more or less intermediate level

After learning the basics of Spanish and getting to know the Latin American culture by studying the language and travelling around, I decided to return to do a medical elective (since I am a medical student). If all goes well, I will participate in a program in San Jose, Costa Rica, next summer.
